Slow-Cooked Duck with apples.

Slow-Cooked-Duck-with-apples

Ingredients

  • 1 duck, prepared to cook

  • 8 apples, cut into big pieces

  • 1 1/2 tsp. of Maple syrup

  • Salt & pepper

  • Montreal chicken seasoning

Directions

Cut the apples and place in slow cooker .

Take duck from bag and remove neck and liver. Rinse under cool water.

Add salt, pepper and seasoning and put the apples into the duck.

Place the duck in crockpot. Cover and cook on high level for 3 hours or until tender.

Slow-Cooker

Heat oven to 375 F. Remove the duck from the slow cooker and cover with Maple syrup.

Place into the oven for 20 - 30 mins to crisp up.

If you like potatoes , you could cut them and cook them with the duck in the oven.

When the duck is ready and the potatoes are brown. The apples would have already turned into a sauce in the slow cooker ,so when you are ready you can carve and plate up.
